Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 4:15
Let’s say that someone violated the law and planted during shemittah, but the plant stayed in the ground until the eighth year. If it was planted for seed, then the seeds and the vegetables are both prohibited in the eighth year like any other aftergrowth. If it was planted for the vegetable, then since it was picked in the eighth year, both the vegetables and the seeds are permitted. If it was planted for both the seeds and the vegetable, then the seed is prohibited as aftergrowth but the vegetables are permitted.
